Welcome to The Advocate online! After years of being published as a print edition which consumed a lot of time and funds and paper, we decided to make SPHS IB news available immediately on your computer or mobile device.   The most recent Advocate news was provided last summer so we have some catching up to do over the next few weeks, but it won’t take long–the digital print mills are running at full speed now and we have unlimited barrels of pixel ink on hand.

What is The Advocate?  The Advocate is the official SPHS IB newsletter solely created by volunteers and published by the SPHS IB Boosters for the community of St. Petersburg High School IB students and their families.

What can you expect from the new Advocate  Timeliness!  More color photos!  A handy-dandy calendar of events!

What would we like from you?  Your IB-related news tips and photos, and your feedback about the site.   We’ve tried to organize the website to be easy to browse and find information, and any suggestions you have for improvement would be welcomed.  Contact IB Advocate Editors at sphsibadvocate@gmail.com

How can I easily find information?  The home page and the Recent Posts both list recently created news articles in reverse date order.   The top menu organizes news articles and pages by category.  Tags are keywords that are associated with different articles.  Archive lists articles by the month they were posted.  And of course Search is search.

Complementing this website is the SPHS IB Boosters Facebook page.  That’s a great place to ask–and answer–questions see event photos, and also find timely news announcements, especially last minute updates.

One final note (for now).  Do we have your email address to help ensure you get timely notices about the IB program? The IB Boosters  work cooperatively with the IB program to provide information to every SPHS IB family, and a vital means is through email.  The Advocate is one such method, and news snippets will be sent on a regular basis to inboxes.  If you received such a notice, we have your email address.   If we didn’t please consider adding your email address to our list on this page.
