IB junior Sydney Soskin and IB sophomore Nina Greenberg attended the March For Our Lives in Washington D.C. in March 2018. They and the teens who helped organize local March for Our Lives events were invited to a roundtable discussion with Senator Bill Nelson, Representative Kathy Castor, and several Hillsborough County School Board members and superintendent Jeff Eakins.

After the conference, they participated in a social action forum focused on gun reform at Temple Beth-El in St. Petersburg.

You can read about these students’ efforts along with their pictures in the Tampa Bay Times March 26, 2018 article, After marching, anti-gun violence students figure out next moves.
